About TMF

Built From the Inside Out

The Muna Foundation began not as a business plan, but as a promise — to every girl who never got the chance she deserved.

Our Origin

A Story That Demanded to Be Told

The Muna Foundation was created with a simple but powerful vision — to open doors for young people through sports and education.

Founder Blessing Ejiofor understands the power of opportunity because she experienced it firsthand. Growing up in Nigeria, the path to opportunities in sports and education was not always clear. Yet through courage, faith, and determination, Blessing took a life-changing step when she moved to the United States through a basketball opportunity.

Leaving home so young meant stepping into the unknown. It required resilience, courage, and belief in something greater than the present moment. That belief was hope.

Through basketball, Blessing was able to pursue education, earn scholarships, and eventually build a professional career that allowed her to travel the world and represent Nigeria on the global stage.

Her journey revealed something deeper — many young people possess incredible talent, ambition, and dreams but lack access to the opportunities that allow those dreams to grow. The Muna Foundation was created to help change that.

Our Mission

To empower young people through sports and education while creating pathways for opportunity, confidence, leadership, and long-term success.

Our Vision

A future where talented young people, especially girls, have access to the resources, mentorship, and opportunities needed to pursue their dreams.

Our Approach

We combine athletic training with academic support and mentorship to build whole people — not just athletes or scholars, but confident, equipped leaders.

What We Stand For

Core Values

These are not aspirations — they are the operating principles that shape every decision we make.

Opportunity

We believe access is the single greatest predictor of success. Every program we design is built to remove barriers — financial, geographic, and social.

Empowerment

True empowerment is internal. We give girls the tools to own their narrative, trust their abilities, and lead with confidence.

Education

Whether in a classroom or on a court, education is the foundation of every pathway we build. Knowledge compounds.

Leadership

We develop leaders — young women who think critically, act decisively, and lift others as they rise.

Discipline

Sports teaches what classrooms sometimes cannot: the habit of doing hard things consistently. We carry that ethos into everything.

Community

No one makes it alone. We build lasting communities of mentors, peers, and advocates who hold each other accountable.
